Aine has always been creative. Her love of photography started with an appreciation for art, drawing and painting. She studied art for years, creating a base of knowledge in light, form and composition. This knowledge has organically informed her photography style, where she not only shoots you in your best light but also creates an eye-catching, balanced composition that stands out in a sea of photos.

Aine’s technical journey began with the Dublin Photography School where she learnt how to hone the basics. From here she let curiosity take over and shoot like there was no tomorrow, letting each photo be a lesson. She naturally moved onto shooting photos of her Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team. Aine found it exhilarating to shoot such a fast-paced sport. She loved how raw and honest the photos became. The last thing you’re thinking about in a Jiu-Jitsu roll is how you look! So the photos became a snapshot of someone living in the moment. Aine fell in love with the power of such images and wanted to bring this feeling into more of her work.

And so she began shooting actors headshots. As an actress herself she knows what it means to be vulnerable behind the camera and just how easy it is to freeze up in front of the lens. So, she made it her mission to find techniques that calm her clients and let them live in the moment like her BJJ teammates. Don’t worry she won’t have you in a chokehold to achieve those results! It’s really about your craft as actor and to view your headshot session as an acting experience rather than taking some pretty photos. She uses these tried and tested techniques in every session to show you as your most authentic self.

These techniques have bled into all aspects of her photography, at the heart of it all is storytelling, something an actress would know a thing or two about! The question is how best to tell that story. That’s where the fun begins!

Aside from photography, Aine is an actress having graduated from the Gaiety School of Acting in 2022 and working in the industry ever since. She also has a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from UCD. Blending the technical with the creative has always been her mission in life and what better way to merge those passions than photography!
